WHAT IS SIMPCO SELLS?
SimpCo Sells functions similarly to Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist, except it is exclusive to the Simpson College community.

To join the marketplace, first a user must have a personal Facebook account. After reading through the user waiver and handbook, a user must request to join the Facebook group followed by a short verification process. Once approved, users can begin buying and selling.

Follow the "How to Join the Market" steps on the Home page to join.
"For Simpson College students and faculty who need a safe and exclusive community to buy/sell products and services. The envisioned SimpCo Sells marketplace has the potential to establish a private marketplace on campus that is exclusive, free, and safe. Unlike Facebook marketplace and Craigslist, our marketplace has vetted users and promotes campus unity. When fully commercialized, SimpCo Sells will be a convenient, secure, and exclusive place for community transactions."

Ultimately, we hope this platform is utilized in such a way that it provides the Simpson community opportunities to engage in commerce amongst each other. In the immediate future, this business will be used to promote Simpson community products and services. Long-term, upon success within the Simpson campus, there will be opportunities to expand to the at-large Indianola community. We hope this platform will allow those with entrepreneurial interests, along with those looking to find a new home for gently used items, serves its users well and allows for a better overall Simpson experience.
